Hilltop villa with private pool and endless views

Diana Villa Mykonos is a luxury rental situated on a hill in Saint John, offering panoramic views and an infinity pool. The property sleeps up to seven guests across three luxury bedrooms and includes exclusive amenities like concierge services and a fully equipped kitchen. I were engaged in late 2002 to design a website that would reflect the villa's unique character and drive direct bookings. The focus was on clarity-show potential guests exactly what they get-while keeping load times low and ensuring trust through high‑quality visuals and transparent information.

The brief

The client needed a website that conveyed the villa's unique features and inspired confidence in potential guests. Constraints included limited photo material at the start, a need to integrate with external booking engines and support for high‑resolution gallery images. Goals were to encourage direct bookings, reduce reliance on OTA commissions and provide all essential details at a glance.

The execution

Our process began with competitor analysis of luxury villas in Mykonos. We built a narrative around relaxation and exclusivity; the hero section pairs a concise tagline with a striking image of the infinity pool. The site structure features sections for the villa overview, amenities and experiences, each no more than a few sentences. We used a responsive gallery that opens high‑resolution images without long load times. An availability widget syncs with the booking engine so guests can check dates before enquiring. We wrote bespoke copy emphasising the villa's 210 sqm layout, 3 bedrooms, large pool and capacity for 7 guests. Schema markup identifies the property as a lodging business, improving search results for "luxury villa Mykonos." To support SEO, meta titles mention the location and features. We optimised for mobile load speed using image compression and code splitting. Post‑launch, we connected analytics and trained the owners to update rates and photos.
