Dr Scrub
Scrubs engineered for comfort and performance
Dr Scrub is a Greek brand supplying medical uniforms for healthcare professionals. By mid‑2023 the brand needed more than a simple online catalogue: it required a WooCommerce platform that would allow customers to personalise their scrubs, locate nearby retail partners and track referrals from micro‑influencers. The project combined e‑commerce fundamentals, clear navigation, variant filtering and secure checkout, with loyalty, analytics and marketing integrations. Clarity, speed, trust and growth were the guiding principles throughout the build.
The brief
The challenge was to create a feature‑rich online store that supported both direct sales and offline partners while keeping the experience intuitive. The requirements included:
- Platform: WooCommerce with a modular theme that could support bespoke functionality and multilingual content.
- Content: Men’s and women’s scrubs with colour and size filters, options for personalised embroidery, bundled product sets and accessories.
- Integrations: Store locator, loyalty programme with influencer code tracking, gift cards, wishlist and comparison tools, support for cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna and other payment methods, all Greek shipping carriers, multi‑currency pricing, newsletter sign‑up, XML feed for Meta ad catalogues and Hotjar for behavioural analytics.
- Maintenance: On‑site SEO strategy, meta titles and descriptions, product and organisation schema, accessibility improvements, performance tuning and ongoing analytics.

The execution
The WooCommerce store was designed for clarity and ease of purchase. Categories, filters, and personalisation options guide customers to the right products, while custom plugins add a store finder, variant management, wishlist, loyalty codes, gift cards, and subscription discounts. Bundling logic encourages multi-item orders, and checkout supports cards, wallets, Klarna, and multiple currencies. Local carrier integrations simplify delivery, and an XML feed keeps the Meta catalogue up to date.
Hotjar insights informed ongoing improvements, SEO and schema strengthened search visibility, and accessibility and performance optimisations reduced friction. After launch, staff were trained to manage products, orders, and analytics independently.
- Variant management & personalisation: size/colour selectors and custom embroidery
- Gift cards & loyalty: digital vouchers and influencer rewards
- Wishlist & bundling: favourites and sets to grow basket size
- Multi-currency & payments: checkout with cards, wallets, Klarna
- Store finder & shipping: retailer map and integration with Greek carriers
- Meta feed & analytics: automated catalogue sync and Hotjar insights
- Optimised checkout & speed: streamlined steps, accessible design, faster performance
- SEO & schema: structured content for stronger search visibility

“Our store keeps getting better, new features roll out without drama, customers find sizes faster, and support questions dropped as policies and contact stayed clear.”
The impact
The completed Dr Scrub platform delivers a polished experience that feels tailor‑made for healthcare professionals. Customers can find the right scrub quickly, add personal embroidery and build sets without confusion. Loyalty and gift card programmes have increased repeat purchases, while the micro‑influencer tracking reveals which partnerships drive sales. The store locator has boosted foot traffic to physical stockists, and the breadth of payment and shipping options has reduced cart abandonment. Dynamic ad feeds keep marketing campaigns current, and insights from heatmaps guide subtle UX refinements. Improved meta tagging and schema contribute to higher search rankings, and the WooCommerce foundation gives the brand control over products and promotions without outside help.
